Versailles Marble Ecru Honed

Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of French Baroque interiors, Versailles Ecru celebrates the quieter beauty of natural marble. Spangled heavily with fine veins of light tan, Ecru is a creamy-brown marble with an extraordinary sense of natural movement. Its surface has a wonderfully organic quality, with layer upon layer of subtle variation that rewards a closer look. Neither too light nor too dark, Ecru is an exceptionally versatile mid-tone, lending itself beautifully to both restrained schemes and more decorative compositions.

Ideal for indoor walls and floors, Ecru makes a beautiful foundation for a three-colour Versailles pattern, or a softer counterpoint to the richer tones within the collection. It can also be combined with Elixir and Taj Mahal to create chequerboards and more intricate arrangements. For wet room floors and shower trays, additional anti-slip measures are required. Versailles marble requires sealing.

All Versailles marbles are honed to a smooth, dependable finish with a soft, understated sheen that allows the natural character of the stone to take centre stage. Each tile measures 45.7 × 45.7cm, a beautifully considered and wonderfully versatile format: substantial enough to give a floor presence, yet modest enough to sit comfortably within smaller spaces and more intricate patterns – a perfect middle ground.
